I have a 457 Varmint with a 16.5" threaded varmint profile barrel and it is lighter (6lbs) than my 452 American with its standard 22.5" tapered barrel (6lbs, 5ozs). I'm assuming if you are concerned with weight that you are using this rifle for hunting and if so, a shorter barrel will be more handy in the woods as well. From reading other information along the way, I was of the understanding this should be a 16" barrel. Mine is almost 21 1/2" at the end of the threaded barrel from where the barrel meets the action.All barrels will have a Lilja chamber identical to mine below and headspace will be set to 0.041". Due to CZ 455/457 actions varying slightly, everyone will need to send your action to Keystone Accuracy for a true custom fit barrel. These are not semi-custom/drop in barrels.
