It appears a though the thermostat is not feathering to allow smooth cooling of the engine. I had a 2010 Rubi and traded it for the ‘12. I have a 2012 jeep jku sport, It runs hot only while driving, as soon as I park it and just let it idle it cooks down to around 208-215 and stays constant, while driving it has/will get as high as 245, but will fluctuate from 228-235. I have replaced the oil cooler (was leaking), the thermostat, and radiator cap.

A properly working fan will turn about 3-5 turns if it is properly working. This is what I read before I did the water pump/clutch change.Jan 28, 2019. #2. Pull thermostat. Drill 1/8" hole in flange at the 12 o'clock position, put it back in. Run the engine up to temp with cap off of radiator, if it bubbles out lots of coolant right before thermostat opens, pull it and drill a 3/16" hole and put it back in clocked correctly.It will get you stuck in dry soft sand also as frt, and rear ends have differing gear ratios. Run tires ( 33's at least) at about 8 lb to 10lbs. (jeep and trailer) if your having a hard time. keep your speed up and when you stop make sure you are headed downhill.
