Hey guys! I'll be starting my MCAT prep soon and am trying to organize my resources. For P/S, I'm torn between the 300-page doc and using the Kaplan book. I know this has been discussed a lot previously on this subreddit, but any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks a lot! Yes. 300 page is great. 86 page doc is more condensed and may be helpful if you're short on time or if you need a quicker review when it comes close to your test date. If you have time, go over the 86 pg document to build the basic framework and the 300 pg one to branch out. 300 page doc + PreMed95's deck (altering some cards for clarity ...Copy and paste section from 86 page to the "extra" tab on Anki and make sure everything make sense (comparing to 300 page). Then copy and paste certain sentences from summary with cloze deletions. This way (1) making my own cards and (2) I have a subsection of the 86 pager on the bottom where I can see the bigger picture.The 86 pg doc can be read in about 2 hours and is absolutely excellent. I will probably use it solely and refer to 300 pg when done to see what I missed. Where do you find this 100 page doc. Watch the khan videos where the content is actually from at 2x speed. It'll take 2-3 days tops.

I can't really speak for/against the 86 page document as I didn't use it. But I was not a fan of the Kaplan book. I tried using it in the beginning, but I personally felt that it didn't explain things very well. ... I read through the 300 pg doc so I can't help you regarding the 86 pg one. Just putting this out there- I scored a 132 on the psych section in 2021 and solely used Kaplan and AAMC q bank. If you have a background in psych, the 86 is probably sufficient but if you're aiming for upper scores, I'd recommend being more thorough with Kaplan.

It's a good and aesthetically pleasing deck, but best used as a foundation for supplementing your own cards off another resource like UEarth. Nothing guarantees anything on the MCAT. Nobody can bank on a 132. A lot of the section is passage and data based. I think if strong knowledge of the 300 page doc "guarantees" a score, it would be around 127, not 132. 130+ is a hard earned score in any section. There is a reason 130 is 95th percentile or higher depending on the section.
