I went to Chamberlain. Started in Arlington VA, then transferred to the Jacksonville FL campus. I did the whole 3 years, minus a few pre-reqs I had completed while in the army. I feel that I got a great education and was extremely prepared not only for the NCLEX, but for real world nursing as well. I graduated Magna Cum Laude with a 3.7 GPA. Nearly half of these programs are in the bottom quarter of the 2021 U.S. News rankings of nursing master's programs and are listed with a ranking range of 179 to 236. Every nursing program I have looked into requires different prerequisite courses. I can’t really afford to go to a bigger university. I signed up for Chamberlain University in Michigan,and now after reading some things about the program (BSN 3 years) here on Reddit and just googling reviews…. I am a little iffy about going.

I worked full time and thought the coursework was completely manageable. You need to know that this college was my last resort. My options were wait 3 years to enter an ADN program at a community college or move away. I purchased my home and can't move. The other were private colleges. An ADN program was offering their program for $80,000 and a different private college offered their "accelerated" BSN program for $133K. Then eventually do a rn-bsn bridge program. I was also accepted to SUNY Upstate for their in person PMHNP program (I had to decline due to my husband getting last minute PCS orders), and to an online school. Right now I'm considering applying to a MSN at the University of Colorado.
