Just wondering when it would be beneficial to spend the money on a IC cold pipe/Y-bridge combo over the stock piece, I have no plans on anything over a stock trans efi tunes or a bigger turbo than a danville BMW stg 1/2. ... It would depend on how low in the valley you want the turbo to sit. You could get away with the stock one if the turbo is high enough. ProFab is an option, Sinister only has the LB7/LLY Bridge, or custom make one yourself. I personally, on a LLY, had to add a 2" spacer on top the Turbonetics Pedestal to work with the 5" intake and Sinister Bridge.

The LB7 bridges are actually larger inside than the LLY's, and they do have the same flanges so mating to the LLY intake runners is not a problem. You can not bolt the LLY intake tube to the LBZ tube that comes out of the Y bridge (the 2 bolt flange) The LBZ is a little under 2 1/2" and the LLY is about 2 1/8". And the bolts are further appart on the LBZ flange. I don't know if the LLY neck will slip into the LBZ bridge but I highly doubt it.

Next, unplug the MAP sensor for easier access to the AIH (air intake heater). Once you find the AIH (its located on the air intake Y bride in front of the turbo) unscrew the single nut, pull the wire off and unscrew the AIH. Take the AIH out and put it aside.Then the LB7 intake bridge is one piece that comes all the way out to the intercooler tube and it will bolt to LLY intake runners.
