alright, so ive got a 1999 Kawasaki Prairie 400 4x4. I bought the quad about a week ago, everything worked great other than the fact it had no rear brakes. I went to go out and play in the mud a bit this weekend, and fell thru some ice into a swamp, just over the bottom of the running boards, the quad continued running and never died.

The front you just use normal 10w40 motorcycle oil. It had been sitting for a long time so I just purchased a new carb and intake and when installed it continuously pours gas out the Overflow tube. I have adjusted the float multiple times, it does not seem to make any difference at all.

I would suggest putting in the oil return into the rear cylinder like a lot of people have. But you might be able to get away with just plugging the hole in the airbox that the crank vent goes to.. If the radiator is full of coolant, the problem is most likely the thermostat. The fan switch is in the radiator, so it does not get hot enough to kick on when the thermostat is stuck shut.
