It was such a beautiful site. In the valley below was Jalama surrounded by palm trees. It is just a little camping community, but has a store with a cafe. You can rent cabins or bring your own campers. We didn't see any tent camping. There is a $10 day use to enter, but you can also ask for a FREE short time pass. The store and cafe there are very cool. We had the Jalama Burger, of course, it's a MUST try. We also had the ahi burger. Both meals did not disappoint, just delicious. There is a lot of other menu items I'll try when I go back. If you're frugal like me, stop in Santa Maria and load up on supplies, the Jalama store prices are outrageous!
