You will see in that thread that I had to use a slightly taller sight than COSteve. I used Brownells 579-104-131 which is .410 tall. COSteve used 579-104-731 which is .375. My old Rossi 92 had an OEM flat top rear sight and I switched it over to the new semi buckhorn that my 73 came with. I've seen a new 92 that came stock w/ that same semi buckhorn. My old 92 has a larger dovetail so my replacement semi buckhorn fits in the dovetail extremely loose.
